Mexican Style Carrots Not sure about you, but my favorite part of opening a can of authentic jalapeños is Digging deep to the bottom for the treasure that is the carrots and onions! Why spend time searching for those little nuggets of gold? My Mexican style carrots have jalapeño slices, sweet 1015 onions, garlic cloves, black peppercorns, apple cider vinegar and a pinch of sea salt.

Pickled Green Beans Kentucky Wonder green beans are pickled with apple cider vinegar, fresh dill, garlic cloves, pickling salt and pepper flakes. Simple yet very tasty.

Pickled Mixed Vegetables Cauliflower, carrots, sweet 1015 onions, red pepper, celery, garlic cloves, black peppercorns, white vinegar and pickling salt.

Sweet Jalapeño Slices I first tried 'Cowboy Candy' at a restaurant in Fort Worth. I was hooked. After trying several recipes, I developed my own--simple and good. The longer these slices pickle, the sweeter they become. Great on just about anything but especially tasty on soft cheese.

Strawberry Jalapeño Jam A trademark of Grandma Susie, strawberry jam; their garden had rows of strawberries. I've taken her recipe and given it a Texas twist.

Chip's Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Wow! Not much else can be said about Chip's Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. No shortage of dark chocolate for sure. Mexican vanilla adds to the depth of the dark chocolate. Then there's a slight dash of CAyenne pepper to finish it off. Not to be missed.
Geraldine's Apple Cake Geraldine, my mother, was from a long line of cooks with the Morgan Clan from Webber's Falls, Oklahoma. She learned how to cook from her Grandmother, aptly called Grandma Morgan, and her Aunt Mildred. She discovered it was much easier working in the kitchen than farm work--especially during the hot and humid Oklahoma summers. Geraldine passed on her no-nonsense home cooking to my sister Peggy Sue and me. Her memory lives on with her special Apple cake. Freshly made applesauce is used along with warm spices to create a moist and tasty one layer cake, finished with a liberal dusting of confectioners' sugar. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Rustic French Bread Only four ingredients, but robust in flavor. Great with creamy soups or a slathered with a healthy layer of butter.
Rustic Rye Bread five ingredients this time out, this rustic rye bread holds up to floating in tomato soup or as the basis for a great Ruben. (Be on the lookout for Jerald's Kitchen sauerkraut).
